Education should produce capable people.

Not simply successful students.

Capability means more than knowledge.

It is the ability to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence, organize complexity, communicate ideas with precision, and continue learning long after formal education ends.

Marigold exists to cultivate those capacities.

How We Work Our work centers on helping students navigate complex academic demands with structure, clarity, and confidence. I partner with mature tweens, teens, and college learners who face long-term, multi-stepped goals (like capstones, theses, advanced coursework, and academic transitions) and want to build the skills to plan, persist, and succeed on their own terms. My approach combines academic strategy with executive functioning support to help students build sustainable systems for time management, organization, task initiation, self-monitoring, and meaningful follow-through.

Philosophy of Practice I view academic success as an evolving developmental process shaped by cognitive capacities, motivation, environmental supports, and emotional regulation. My role is to help students develop both the skills and the self-belief needed to manage complexity, regulate effort, and transition toward greater independence. I believe structure and strategy are the scaffolding that allow insight, confidence, and self-efficacy to emerge — and that durable learning always involves both skill and self-awareness.

What Working Together Looks Like My work typically begins with a collaborative assessment of your current challenges, strengths, and goals. Together we build a roadmap that includes realistic schedules, clear priorities, and actionable milestones. Throughout our time together, we focus on developing executive functioning skills — systems for planning, organization, time management, and follow-through — while also building confidence and independence. As students grow more self-directed, our work shifts from structured support toward autonomous strategy, so they graduate with tools they can use long after our coaching ends.
