MARIGOLD
CAROLINE SLOSS is an academic consultant who helps students navigate complex academic demands with clarity, structure, and confidence. Her work is informed by a background in international education research, teaching K–12 through undergraduates, and is grounded in an understanding of how cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors shape learning over time.
Caroline specializes in supporting students through large, multi-layered academic goals—such as advanced coursework, long-term projects, theses, capstones, and periods of academic transition. She works with mature middle school, high school, and college students to develop realistic schedules, clarify academic priorities, and build the skills necessary to sustain effort and follow through on long-term plans.
A central focus of Caroline’s work is executive functioning support, including time management, organization, task initiation, and self-monitoring. Her approach emphasizes skill development, self-efficacy, and gradual independence, helping students learn how to regulate their workload, manage performance-related stress, and take increasing ownership of their academic lives.
In addition to academic strategy, Caroline supports students with college admissions and test preparation using a personalized, goal-driven framework that integrates planning, motivation, and reflective decision-making. Her work is guided by a developmental, strengths-based perspective that views academic success as both a cognitive and psychological process—one that benefits from structure, insight, and sustained support.
